Rice Bran Wax is obtained from the outer bran layer of rice (Oryza sativa) during the refining of rice bran oil. The crude wax is then dewaxed, filtered, and refined into a hard, light-coloured wax prized for its high melting point and exceptional performance.
With one of the highest melting points among plant-derived waxes, Rice Bran Wax brings superior hardness and structure to formulations — from cosmetic sticks and lipsticks to food-grade coatings and industrial polishes. Its clean profile and vegan status also make it the go-to natural alternative to carnauba wax.

Applications
The versatility of Rice Bran Wax.
Cosmetics & Personal Care
Ideal substitute for Carnauba, Candelilla or Beeswax. High melting point of 79–85°C reduces stickiness in emulsions; acts as thickener and binding agent with strong emollient properties. Suitable for lipsticks, balms, salves, sunscreens, body butters, creams and lotions.
Candle Manufacture
Originally used in traditional Japanese "NUKA" candles since the 16th century. Modern Rice Bran Wax candles are blended with virgin coconut oil to soften the wax and increase burn time, giving a bright white flame with very little smoke.
Polishing Wax
Polishing waxes containing Rice Bran Wax provide a hard, waterproof protective barrier. Its high melting point means they don't leave a tacky finish — especially important in Australia's warm climate.
